DFD Logistics began in 1972 when Scot Stillman, started a foodservice company in Denver, CO where after delivering food products in the back of his 1970 Ford Thunderbird, he purchased his first delivery truck and sold carcass beef to meat markets and meat, seafood, produce and dry food items to restaurants.
After selling the company in 1983 and a short stint in the computer industry, Scot purchased another delivery vehicle and started once again in the foodservice industry as Denver Food Distributors, Inc. with a client base of restaurants and grocery stores.
Over the next 22 years, DFD continued to expand by taking on clients who needed products delivered throughout the state of Colorado, establishing new clients in the fundraising industry, retail grocery industry, warehouse distribution industry, etc..
By 2009, DFD was serving a large client base of companies who required regional LTL service as well as providing last mile deliveries for a number of larger trucking companies.
